Morgan Advanced Materials, a global leader in the development and application of advanced material technologies, have recently taken delivery of 2 new Wilmat Trucks, each designed and manufactured to solve a specific materials handling issue on site.
The first application was to lift and tip a Mixing Vessel weighing 40kg above a machine which was set back, requiring the tipping mechanism to overhang the truck. The unit was also required to work under a low ceiling.
The vessel was 80 °C, highlighting an additional safety hazard to the operator.
The Wilmat team designed and manufactured a compact truck with special rotating clamp to meet the customers’ needs and overcome the handling problem.
The second application was to remove mixing gear weighing 40kg from a machine for maintenance purposes at a height of 1700mm and a reach of approx. 1200mm again working in a room with a low ceiling.
The Wilmat team again came up with a compact design and supplied a truck not only to overcome this issue, but to also overcome a third application for handling tools too, with the same truck!
