Fibrax mouldings a company based in Wrexham Wales who operate extremely hot presses, have recently purchased a Wilmat Die Handler have explained how our Wilmat Truck has helped them run their company more efficiently.
Kevin Rimmer, Manufacturing Director at Fibrax-Mouldings was originally unaware of Wilmat until one of his employees was able to recommend us as he had used a similar machine in his previous employment. Kevin decided to get in contact with us and we were obviously very happy to help.
” We use the truck for changing moulding tools on our rubber injection moulding presses. They usually operate at 180°c to 220°c so are difficult to handle on removal as they can weigh up to 750kg on one of the lines and 20ookg on another. The truck has reduced change over times and also reduces manual handling risks to our Tool Setters. Once a tool is installed onto the press it takes 2 hours to reach operating temperature before change over but now we will be able to introduce a pre heat operation so that the tool is close to operating temperature before change over, saving us around 24 hours of press time across the board each day! “
