Wilmats bespoke products was again showing its Great Worth this week when coming to the aid of a Company Windmill tapes ( www.windmilltapes.co.uk )
John Miller contacted Wilmat the challenge was to lift ‘Mag Rollers’ into the slitting machines, with the rollers weighing up to 200 Kg. he never thought we could meet the needs of his company but our Design Team came up with a manual vertical crane that has met the needs of the company ‘perfectly’.
John said “I would like to thank Wilmat personally for supplying us with a perfect piece of equipment and its something we really didn’t think would be possible to purchase. We are extremely satisfied with the acquisition of our new manual lift crane. We use the crane on various machines but basically to do just one specific job to lift our heavy rollers which can weigh from 60 Kg – 200 Kg. Having this crane has had a huge emphasis on our health and safety obligations i.e. manual handling, having the truck also had an effect on our maintenance duties. Since receiving the crane we have had a significant reduction in damage to some of our heavier ‘Mag Rollers’and their gears. We have used Wilmat in the past for the more specialist type of lifting equipment and we find their Team to be extremely friendly and helpful working together with us to find a solution to our lifting requirements.”
