Wilmat recently came to the aid of Bridgnorth Aluminium (http://www.starlitho.co.uk/ ) a Shropshire Company who specialise in aluminium rolling.
The challenge was transporting work rolls into their rolling mills to carry out maintenance tasks. With the weight of the rolls on a stillage adding up to 3 tonnes it was a ‘big ask’ for their engineering staff to pull or push these rolls with a hand pallet truck . A Health & Safety issue was also flagged up and needed to seek help. Wilmat’s solution was to offer an upgraded version of our Samson range and designed & built a 3500 KG battery powered stacker,with adjustable forks and a wide straddle to enable handling of various palletised loads to a height of 2.5M Not only did this solve the Health & Safety issue, it will also save time & money as this task can now be performed much quicker.
